We pride ourselves on producing a delicious range of classic and gourmet sandwiches, as well as weekly and seasonal specials, freshly prepared and made on the premises to eat in or take away.
If you need to cater for a business lunch or corporate event, a private party, function or are entertaining at home, we can deliver freshly prepared buffet platters of deep-filled sandwiches, rolls and baguettes along with hot and cold canapés, salads, dips, crisps, fruit, cakes and pastries.We are open Monday to Friday, 7.30am-3pm and Saturday 10am-3pm.

All our sandwich bread and rolls, as well as Danish pastries and croissants are made locally by The Cottage Bakery in Ampthill. Our cakes are all homemade. We try to use and promote local producers and suppliers as much as possible so our food is as fresh, tasty and good for the environment as possible.
We freshly prepare a range of classic and gourmet sandwiches, as well as offer an ‘invent your own’ service to customers who want their sandwich, their way. At Roosters you will also find a delicious selection of weekly hot and cold specials, jacket potatoes, soups and salad bowls.
If you’ve missed out on breakfast, pop in for a freshly prepared sausage, bacon or egg roll, push the boat out and enjoy Roosters’ Famous Full English, or grab a coffee and a Danish before heading to work or into town.

At Roosters we can provide a wide range of fresh and delicious food to meet a wide range of tastes and budgets. All our buffet platters are freshly prepared on the day they are required and are a great addition to any business meeting, corporate event, private party or family occasion.
As all our food is freshly prepared we are able to offer a tailored service and can meet the special dietary requirements of you and your guests. We can also deliver a selection of hot and cold drinks with your food.
All buffets are delivered free within a five mile radius of Bedford.
Fast food and friendly service
Roosters Sandwich Bar & Coffee Shop has been trading from St. Cuthbert’s Street in the heart of Bedford since 1998. The business continues to flourish with a loyal customer base, friendly and hard working staff and we aim to build on its already solid reputation.
Since taking over the business in summer 2011 we have achieved a three star food hygiene rating from Bedford Borough Council and have already invested in additional staff training so that all our team have achieved the Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate. We will continue to develop the catering and customer service skills of our team.
Having both lived in Bedford for most of our lives we are also keen that our business plays an important part in the local community. We are beginning to research and change our suppliers so that we use more local producers as much as possible, we have taken on an allotment so that we can use home grown fruit and vegetables in the shop and we are delighted to be the sponsors of Stefan Liebenberg at the Bedford Blues. We have created a special sandwich named after Stefan and sales of The Liebenberg during the 2011-12 rugby season will help raise funds for Bedford Hospital’s Gamma Plus Appeal.
